Sodium/potassium/magnesium sulfate solution is used to clean out the intestines before a certain bowel exam procedure (colonoscopy). It is a laxative that works by drawing large amounts of water into the colon. This causes watery bowel movements. Clearing stool from the intestines helps your doctor to better examine the intestines during your procedure.

These components work together to cleanse the colon before a colonoscopy. Therefore, Suprep includes these sulfates as part of its formulation.

Sutab should not be taken by individuals who have a known hypersensitivity to any of its components. It is also contraindicated in patients with gastrointestinal obstruction, bowel perforation, toxic colitis, toxic megacolon, or gastric retention. Additionally, individuals with severe renal impairment or those at risk for significant electrolyte disturbances should avoid using Sutab. It is important for patients to consult with their healthcare provider to determine if Sutab is appropriate for their specific medical condition.

The Suprep Bowel Prep Kit contains two bottles of an oral solution, each containing sodium sulfate, potassium sulfate, and magnesium sulfate. Additionally, the kit includes a 16-ounce mixing container. These components are used to prepare the solution for bowel cleansing prior to a colonoscopy.

Yes, Sutab, like any medication, may not be effective for everyone. The effectiveness of bowel preparation medications can vary based on individual factors such as adherence to the preparation instructions, underlying health conditions, or variations in metabolism. If Sutab does not work as expected, it is important for the individual to consult their healthcare provider for alternative options or further evaluation.

The SUPREP Bowel Prep Kit contains two main active ingredients: sodium sulfate, potassium sulfate, and magnesium sulfate.
