Ztlido FAQs
What is a ztlido patch used for?

Ztlido patch is used for the relief of pain associated with post-herpetic neuralgia, which is nerve pain that occurs after a shingles infection. It contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic, which helps to numb the area and reduce pain.

Ztlido and lidocaine are related but not exactly the same. Ztlido is a topical patch that contains lidocaine as its active ingredient. It is specifically designed to deliver lidocaine through the skin to provide localized pain relief. While both contain lidocaine, Ztlido is a specific formulation intended for transdermal use.

The Ztlido patch is equivalent to a lidocaine 1.8% topical patch. It is used for providing local pain relief, particularly for post-herpetic neuralgia.

The choice between ZTlido and lidocaine patches depends on individual needs and circumstances. ZTlido is a lidocaine topical system designed to provide better adhesion and flexibility, which may be beneficial for patients who are active or have difficulty keeping patches in place. Both are used for pain relief, but ZTlido may offer more consistent delivery of medication due to its design. It is important for patients to consult with their healthcare provider to determine which option is more suitable for their specific condition and lifestyle.

The generic name for Ztlido is lidocaine topical system.
