Primidone, also known by the brand name Mysoline, is a medication used to manage certain types of seizures, including generalized tonic-clonic (grand mal) seizures, complex partial (psychomotor) seizures, and partial (focal) seizures. It belongs to the class of barbiturate anticonvulsants and works by controlling abnormal electrical activity in the brain.
