Oysco 500+d Side Effects
When taking this medication, you might experience mild side effects such as constipation or an upset stomach. These symptoms are generally manageable, but if they persist or worsen, it is important to inform your healthcare provider. Most individuals do not experience serious side effects from this drug.
However, be vigilant for more concerning side effects. Seek medical attention if you develop nausea, vomiting, a loss of appetite, unexpected weight loss, mood changes, or signs of kidney issues like altered urine output. Additionally, watch for bone or muscle pain, headaches, increased thirst and urination, fatigue, or a rapid or pounding heartbeat.
Although rare, severe allergic reactions can occur. Urgent medical assistance is necessary if you experience a rash, swelling—particularly of the face, tongue, or throat—severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing.
This summary does not cover all possible side effects. If you observe any other unusual symptoms, reach out to your healthcare provider for further advice.
Interactions
Some medications that can interact with this drug include Digoxin and phosphate binders. Calcium can reduce the body's ability to absorb other medications like tetracycline antibiotics (such as doxycycline and Minocycline), bisphosphonates (like Alendronate), estramustine, Levothyroxine, and quinolone antibiotics (such as Ciprofloxacin and Levofloxacin). Additionally, certain drugs can lower the absorption of Vitamin D, including bile acid sequestrants like Cholestyramine and Colestipol, Mineral Oil, and Orlistat. To avoid these interactions, try to take these medications as far apart from your calcium/vitamin D doses as possible. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist about how long you should wait between doses and to help create a suitable dosing schedule for all your medications.
Check the labels of all your prescription and over-the-counter products, including herbal supplements, as they may contain calcium, phosphate, or vitamin D. Your pharmacist can advise you on the safe use of these products. Since vitamin D is very similar to Calcitriol, do not take medications containing calcitriol while using vitamin D.
This product might interfere with certain laboratory tests, like cholesterol tests, potentially leading to incorrect results. Inform all lab personnel and your healthcare providers that you are using this product.
