Pregnyl Side Effects
You may experience mild side effects such as headache, restlessness, tiredness, or pain at the injection site. These are generally manageable, but if they persist or worsen, it's important to consult with your healthcare provider. Most individuals do not encounter serious side effects with this medication.
However, notify your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any serious side effects, including swelling of the hands, ankles, or feet, mood changes like depression or irritability, early puberty signs in boys such as facial or pubic hair, voice changes, acne, pain or swelling of the breast in boys, or unusual vaginal bleeding in women.
A condition called ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) may occur during or after treatment. In rare instances, OHSS can lead to a serious accumulation of fluid in the stomach, chest, and heart area. Seek urgent medical attention if you experience severe pelvic pain or swelling, severe nausea or vomiting, rapid weight gain, or reduced urination.
Additionally, immediate medical help is necessary if you have very serious side effects, such as chest, jaw, or left arm pain, sudden severe headache, confusion, weakness on one side of the body, difficulty speaking, sudden vision changes, or pain, redness, and swelling in the legs. Severe allergic reactions are rare but require urgent care if symptoms like rash, itching, swelling especially of the face, tongue, or throat, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing occur.
