Individuals with a history of aortic stenosis (narrowed heart valves) are at greater risk. If you experience excessive dizziness, sit down slowly, using support if necessary, and contact your healthcare provider for a dosage review. Seek immediate medical attention if you fall and sustain a head injury.
Heart Attack and Chest Pain: There is a possibility of experiencing worsening chest pain or a heart attack while taking amlodipine, especially when beginning treatment or increasing the dose. This risk is heightened for those with coronary artery disease (CAD). If you experience symptoms such as dizziness, anxiety, chest pain, pressure in the chest, heartburn, difficulty breathing, nausea, or vomiting, seek medical assistance immediately.

Norliqva Side Effects
When taking this medication, some individuals may experience common side effects such as dizziness, lightheadedness, swelling of the ankles or feet, flushing, swelling (2-11%), tiredness (5%), and nausea (3%). While these effects are generally mild and often resolve on their own, it is important to consult your healthcare provider if they persist or worsen. To minimize dizziness and lightheadedness, rise slowly from sitting or lying positions. There are other side effects to be aware of, including stomach pain, sleepiness, a faster heartbeat, and flushing. If you notice any of these, especially if they become severe, it is advisable to contact your healthcare provider for guidance. Rare but serious side effects require immediate medical attention. These include symptoms of dangerously low blood pressure—such as dizziness, lightheadedness, pale skin, and feeling faint. Additionally, although this medication is effective in preventing chest pain (angina), individuals with severe heart disease may rarely experience worsening chest pain or a heart attack. Seek urgent medical care if you encounter symptoms such as anxiety, an irregular or pounding heartbeat, fainting, unusually cold and clammy skin, excessive sweating, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, or tightness and pain in the chest, neck, arms, or back. A very serious allergic reaction to this medication is rare.
