Uribel Tablets are used to relieve symptoms associated with urinary tract discomfort, such as pain, frequent urination, urgency, and muscle spasms. These symptoms can arise from lower urinary tract infections or after medical procedures. The medication combines five active ingredients: methenamine and methylene blue, which act as antibacterial agents to inhibit bacterial growth in the urine; salicylate, similar to aspirin, for pain relief; hyoscyamine, an antispasmodic that relaxes urinary tract muscles to ease cramps; and additional ingredients like benzoic acid to increase urine acidity, enhancing methenamine's effectiveness. Uribel is typically administered orally, four times a day with plenty of water, and is suitable for adults and children aged six and over. It's important to note that while Uribel alleviates urinary tract symptoms, it is not a treatment for bacterial urinary tract infections; a separate antibiotic is usually necessary for such infections. Some users may experience a harmless, temporary change in the color of their urine or stools to blue or blue-green.
