Deltuss Dp Side Effects
When taking this medication, you might experience some mild side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, nose, or throat, headaches, upset stomach, constipation, or difficulty sleeping. These are generally not serious and often improve as your body adjusts to the medication. If they persist or become bothersome, it’s advisable to consult with a healthcare professional.
On rare occasions, more significant side effects may occur. Be attentive to any mental or mood changes, such as confusion or hallucinations, as well as ringing in the ears, difficulty with urination, or changes in vision like blurred or double vision. These warrant prompt medical consultation.
In very rare cases, serious side effects require immediate medical attention. These include a fast or irregular heartbeat and seizures, which are critical and need urgent care. Additionally, be aware of signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as a rash, itching, swelling (particularly of the face, tongue, or throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing, and seek emergency medical assistance if they occur.
This summary does not include all possible side effects. If you experience any other unusual symptoms, reaching out to your healthcare provider is recommended for further guidance.
Deltuss Dp Interactions
This medication can interact with several other products. Avoid using skin-applied antihistamines like diphenhydramine cream, ointment, or spray while on this medication. Combining this drug with MAO inhibitors, such as isocarboxazid, Linezolid, and phenelzine, can lead to a severe and potentially life-threatening reaction. It is important not to use MAO inhibitors during treatment and for at least two weeks before starting this medication. Consult your doctor about when to begin or stop these medications.
Additionally, inform your doctor if you are using any other products that cause drowsiness, including opioid pain or cough medications like codeine or hydrocodone, alcohol, cannabis, sleep or anxiety medications such as Alprazolam or Lorazepam, muscle relaxants like Carisoprodol, or other antihistamines such as Cetirizine. Double-check all your medications, including those for allergies or colds, for ingredients that may cause drowsiness and consult with your pharmacist about their safe use.
This drug may also affect certain medical or laboratory tests, potentially leading to inaccurate results. Ensure that all your healthcare providers and lab personnel are aware of your medication use.
