This medication contains iodine and potassium iodide. In a radiation exposure emergency, use this medication along with other emergency measures that will be recommended to you by public health and safety officials (such as finding safe shelter, evacuation, controlling food supply). This medication may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor (such as treatment of iodine deficiency).
