Proctozone-hc Side Effects
When using this medication, you might experience mild redness, burning, or itching at the application site. These are common side effects and usually not a cause for concern. However, if they persist or become bothersome, consider reaching out to your healthcare provider.
More serious side effects can occur, although they are less common. If you experience rectal bleeding, changes in skin appearance such as color or thickness, or signs of infection like persistent sore throat or fever, seek medical attention promptly.
In rare cases, the medication may enter the bloodstream, potentially leading to excessive corticosteroid effects. This is more likely in children or those using the medication long-term. Watch for symptoms like unusual tiredness, weight loss, headaches, swollen ankles or feet, increased thirst or urination, and vision changes, and consult a healthcare professional if they occur.
A severe allergic reaction to this medication is rare but serious. If you notice symptoms such as a rash, itching or swelling (particularly of the face, tongue, or throat), severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing, seek emergency medical help immediately.
Keep in mind, this is not an exhaustive list of side effects. If you observe any other unusual symptoms, it's a good idea to contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
