How does Rydapt work?

Rydapt (midostaurin) works by inhibiting multiple kinases, including FLT3 and KIT, which are involved in the signaling pathways that regulate cell growth and survival. By blocking these kinases, Rydapt helps to slow down or stop the growth of cancer cells, particularly in conditions like acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with FLT3 mutations and systemic mastocytosis.
