Higher risk is associated with daily doses over 500 mg, heavy alcohol consumption, kidney issues, and concurrent use of Trecator (ethionamide) or isoniazid.
Heart Failure Risk: High doses of cycloserine (Seromycin), particularly 1 to 1.5 grams per day, have been linked to sudden heart failure, where the heart is unable to pump effectively. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms like worsening shortness of breath, swelling in the abdomen or legs, sudden weight gain, fatigue, or dizziness.
