Airsupra Side Effects
As you start this medication, you might experience a dry or irritated throat, headache, hoarseness, or coughing while your body adjusts. These effects are generally mild, but if they persist or worsen, consult your healthcare provider. It's important to monitor your blood pressure as the medication might cause an increase. Notify your healthcare provider if you notice elevated readings.
Serious side effects, though less common, require prompt attention. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience symptoms such as white patches in your mouth or on your tongue, unexplained weakness, bone pain, nausea or vomiting, excessive thirst or urination, vision problems, or signs of infection like a persistent sore throat, fever, or chills. In rare instances, the medication may cause a sudden worsening of breathing problems, known as paradoxical bronchospasm. If you suddenly wheeze, seek emergency help.
Rare but severe side effects include chest pain and a fast or irregular heartbeat. An allergic reaction to this medication is very rare, but immediate medical attention is necessary if you develop a rash, swelling (particularly of the face, tongue, or throat), severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing. Always stay alert to any new symptoms and discuss them with your healthcare provider.

What is AIRSUPRA good for?
AIRSUPRA is used for the treatment of asthma. It is a combination medication that helps to relax and open the airways in the lungs, making it easier to breathe and reducing asthma symptoms.
What is the difference between albuterol and AIRSUPRA?
Albuterol and AIRSUPRA are both medications used to treat respiratory conditions, but they have different compositions and uses. Albuterol is a short-acting beta-agonist (SABA) that is commonly used as a rescue inhaler to quickly relieve symptoms of asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by relaxing the muscles in the airways. AIRSUPRA, on the other hand, is a combination inhaler that contains both albuterol and budesonide. Budesonide is a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation in the airways. AIRSUPRA is used for both quick relief and as a maintenance treatment to help control and prevent symptoms of asthma. In summary, while albuterol is primarily used for immediate relief, AIRSUPRA provides both immediate relief and long-term control of asthma symptoms due to its combination of a bronchodilator and an anti-inflammatory agent.
How long does it take AIRSUPRA to work?
AIRSUPRA, which is used for the treatment of asthma, typically begins to work within minutes after inhalation. However, the full therapeutic effect may take longer to be noticeable. It is important for patients to follow their healthcare provider's instructions regarding usage for optimal results.
