  • Increased Bleeding Risk: When taken with blood thinners like warfarin, capecitabine can significantly increase the risk of serious, possibly life-threatening bleeding. This risk may be heightened in individuals aged 60 years or older. If you are using warfarin, inform your healthcare provider and ensure regular blood tests to monitor your blood thinner levels closely.

  • Severe Diarrhea: Capecitabine can cause diarrhea, which may be severe and lead to dehydration. Monitor your bowel movements, and contact your healthcare team immediately if you experience a significant increase in stools or notice blood in your stools accompanied by severe pain or fever.
